Don’t leave safety to luck

According to Health and safety executives (HSE), every year 70+ people are killed and over a 1000 suffer major injures in accidents involving vehicles in the work place.

The most common denominator relating to accidents in the work place was the lack of adequate training, and cost thought to be involved especially for smaller business.

Just as it is vital that forklift truck drivers are trained it is also important for managers and directors to be fully up-to-date as to the legal obligations placed on themselves and their employees. (See Safety Induction and awareness Courses)

“Companies Large and small are required by law to provide training, with increasing penalties for non-compliances."

Training matters

Information gained will help decide on training requirements, cover current legislation, equipment safety which all goes towards the implement of safety in the work place(see full course syllabus)

Thorough examination for forklifts

A thorough examination is a statutory requirement under LOLER 98 and PUWER 98. And should be carried out yearly (depending on use) and serves the same purpose as an MOT.
